Opening hours
Every day from 8:50 a.m. to 6:55 p.m., visitors can explore the Duomo Milano Cathedral. The Duomo has a 919-step spiral stone staircase that leads to the pinnacle, where visitors are rewarded with a breathtaking panorama of the city and, on a clear day, the Alps. There is also a convenient elevator to take you up. On Corso Vittorio Emanuele, you’ll find the ticket booths and the entrances to the elevator and the stairwell (the left side of the Duomo if you are looking at it straight on). There is a €5.00 fee to use the elevator and €3.50 to use the stairs from 9.00 to 17.45.
Duomo Ticket Prices
First, the Milan Cathedral is widely advertised online as a no-cost tourist attraction. This is half a lie. If you are heading to Duomo Milan for religious purposes, you can enter for free by a separate entry, although this entrance is not for people who want to see the entire cathedral. Children 6-11 years old qualify for discounts; proof of age may be required. Youngsters under the age of six get in free. Personal Tips
Since the entire church is made of marble, it is strongly advised that you wear sturdy footwear with good traction if you intend to access the roof. Although the roof’s sides are not particularly steep, they can become somewhat slippery in the rain because the stones are fairly polished from previous visitors stepping on them. We strongly advise taking sunscreen if you intend to explore the Cathedral’s rooftops. At the Milan Cathedral, there is a restriction on food or beverages. Additionally, you’ll probably be checked for these things as you enter.
